We are excited to share what's going on at Lost Griz Aerodrome.
A New Name
Just as the previous three owners, we have chosen our own name for the airport. Having moved to Northern Virginia from Montana (state of the Grizzly Bear) and a place we dearly love, Lost Griz felt like a good fit. We added aerodrome to the name as a nod to the long history of flight operations at this site.
Cleaning and Landscaping
Before beginning any major improvements to the airport, we have focused on clean-up and disposal of all the clutter that the airport had accumulated. We have also worked to thin the trees and trim them up, improving the views and greatly helping with regular landscape maintenance. As we finally get close to having this work completed, we are excited to begin making improvements to the existing structures, as well as breaking ground on new improvements.
